buy this September 3, 2010 M. G. Genciana 90% accurate so far. easy to use, and very handy. Can be quite sensitive and not always able to pick up very low BPs and irregular heart rates (in those cases i just use the manual devices). Good for the money and can be very useful for home monitoring.
Not a good buy. August 31, 2010 mickey dawson annan Package arrived earlier than expected. That was the last good news! The "Mark of Fitness MF-87" did not live up to the hype. From the onset it would not inflate fully. Thought it was my batteries. Replaced with brand new Duracell Ultra. Got a couple of readings. Then it began to display "Error -2" error code (manual said it was a malfunctioned cuff). I hoped desperately that was not the case. Left it alone till next day. Same result. Left it alone for 2 more days. Same results: "Error -2". Finally gave up. Returning it for a refund.
I have ordered the "OMRON HEM 790IT". It's pricier but has great reviews (4.5/5 from over 400 users) and comes with software disc that will help you upload blood pressure data to your computer, print graphs for your doctor, etc.
Contemplated ordering the "OMRON HEM 670IT" but finally settled for the 790IT.

Mark of Fitness MF-87 Automatic Wrist Blood Pressure Monitor August 16, 2010 Toobie (USA) I really like this monitor. It works just fine for me. It uses 2 AAA batteries to work. It has a on and off button so you do not waste the battery. It has a memory that would keep for 2 people. It also has a guide on the right side that shows you that your arm is "OK" in the position it is in. If you do not see OK then it is not in the right location. It keeps the time for you and holds many of your past pressure readings. I would recommend this cuff to everyone. Also this cuff comes with a hard plastic storage case.
So Far, So Good January 27, 2010 Pennsy_Nut (Midlothian, TX United States) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I had different wrist blood pressure monitors. First one purchased about 3 years ago. After 18 months, it failed. Just quit working. Of course, I did the obvious. Checked batteries, changed batteries, nothing helped. I tied contacting someone. Made overseas and couldn't find out anything. So, I bought another one - same brand. (I figured it was a fluke!). And then, about 16 months later, it too, simply quit working. From one day to the next. Again, I tried everything I could think of. So - I went online with Amazon, found this item, ordered it. Arrived in good time. But - NO batteries included. So I was ready to install the ones I've been using for years - Rechargeable. Then I read the directions, where they state "do not use rechargeable batteries". So I called the company. They stated that rechargeable batteries have a different chemical that can damage the monitor. All of a sudden, it hit me. That's what was wrong with the previous ones. So, I bought new alkaline batteries and installed them. I have been using this monitor for about 3 weeks now. It works fine. I also use the second memory for my lady friend, so we can watch both bp's separately. The monitor also averages them out for us. All these features are great. The display is large, easy to read, and I love it. IMHO, I have no complaints and this is a great monitor. Next doctor's appointment, I will take it with and check it against the regular upper arm pressure check that they use. So, as I said in the title, and have mentioned here, I have no complaints whatsoever. And did I mention? The price is great too.
