Homedics BP Monitor September 1, 2010 bom I had spent several days reading reviews on the BP monitors offered here at Amazon and since nothing seems to be consistently accurate (even the famous Omron brand), I took chance on buying this lower-priced device to check its accuracy. The packaged arrived fast but uncomfortably hot. After an hour, I tried using it and gave me significantly varying results, which makes it almost impossible to repeat the same reading. I tried it with my friends but with similar varying results. I just returned it 3 days after not showing any sign of consistency with the readings. I don't know if I've just got a defective product, since several reviewers find it accurate.
Really bad product July 30, 2010 nuRse4reaLz 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This product gives extremely high systolic readings. I had to resort to double checking each reading it gave out using an aneroid sphygmomanometer. I didn't want to believe at first that it was giving out wrong readings but after using several other BP monitors and getting an average range, this product would give out systolic readings that were definitively way too high. Considering that this item had some raving reviews about it, I am more than disappointed about it. Too bad I can't return it, I wrote my name on it's cuff as soon as I got it.
I like this product! July 27, 2010 L. Poirier (Lake Forest, CA) I found it easy to use right out of the box. I'm glad I can now readily monitor my blood pressure with this easy to use product. Absolutely 100% happy with this purchase.
excelent choice July 22, 2010 edgar fabio diaz ramirez (west dundee, illinois, US) this product is wonderful and usefull, the better election for the people that have high blood press problems
Not for obese people July 16, 2010 Mike P. (Phoenix, AZ) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I kept getting "Error 3" which means it couldn't get a reading. My wife was getting readings, and hidden in the back of the specifications was the fact that the largest wrist circumference it can handle is 7.7". So I measured my wrist and it's 8" or even a little more.
So, it might be a great product but I had to return it since it's useless for me.
