Good monitor December 21, 2009 Spencer E Schultz This blood pressure monitor is easy to use and works well for me. However the batteries don't last long. After a week of testing twice a day the motor was running significantly slower. Fortunately it came with an AC adapter and my need for batteries is rare with the adapter.
Overall, it works well for me and the price was good also.
Review of Panasonic Blood Pressure Monitor October 26, 2009 Daniel C. Yap (Cerrritos, ca) Very goood machine.
Nice and quiet.
Well worth the money.
Panansonic BP Machine June 1, 2009 Michael Dorsen (Portland, OR) Accurate compared with calibrated devices. Compact. Easily transportable. Would recommend AC adapter making batteries unnecessary unless travelling with device abroad.
Excellent - Accuracy, Battery Life, Logs Readings, Cuff May 28, 2009 Ed (Atlanta, GA) 8 out of 8 found this review helpful
I have been using the EW3109ACW since Dec. '08' 3 to 5 times per week.
- I've had Ormon's before and they're very noisy & cumbersome. This unit is much quieter & streamlined.
- I especially like the cuff which formed & easier to put on. The Ormon's is bulkier and floppy.
- The accuracy is right on (compared with Doctor's office unit).
- It will log the readings so I can enter them to my computer for record keeping.
- I've had the same batteries in the unit since purchase and they're still working. I bought this unit with the AC adaptor but I don't think anyone needs the adaptor. The same unit without the adaptor is on sale for $29 less on Amazon. Save your money.
- Keep taking your BP meds and monitor results. You can take your BP printed record to your doctors so he/she has good historical info. IT'S YOUR HEART!!!
I had stage II hypertension May 9, 2009 M. Bryant (Northern California) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I'm a 46 year old male, genetically predisposed to hypertension but only had "pre-hypertension" levels until a few months ago. Although I was fairly active, and didn't have a horrible diet, this was suddenly "an issue". I try to be proactive with things health related, so I immediately started looking for a good, yet economical, blood pressure monitor and this one stood out.
I've been using this monitor, usually twice daily for 3 months now, and have never had a problem with it. I use the AC adapter at home and batteries when I'm on the road. I save readings in memory, and was nicely surprised when I discovered that it retained my readings/averages with no power at all (neither batt nor ac adapter) for over a day.
With this monitor, reduced sodium intake, 40 minutes aerobic exercise every-other day (heart-rate around 127bpm, but your target heart rate will vary, according to your age) and a strong desire to avoid medications and their side effects, I'm pleased to recently see consistently NORMAL bp levels!
Get this monitor. Take care (literally)!
